Depending on water consumption and hardness- you must define an appropriate resin capacity- Determine the water consumption per day with your customer- at best- check his last water bill- Test the hardness of his water with a TH test- You then multiply his daily water consumption (in litres) by the hardness and divide by 5000- The figure obtained will give you the number of litres of resin needed per day- Regeneration must be done at most every 4 days- so you can define the number of litres of resin needed- Concrete example: Your customer has a daily water consumption of 600 litres and the hardness is 35 °TH- The number of litres of resin required is: 600 x 35/5000 or 4-2 litres of resin per day- By regenerating every 4 days he will need at least one 16-8 litre model of resin-
